No hike in diesel price for now

Relief news from Petroleum minister jaipal reddy’s end that he is not touching the prices of LPG, kerosene or diesel.
After the hike in petrol price, we saw the protest across the country to roll back the tremendous increase in petrol price, but it has perhaps now become impossible for the government to give subsidy on the petrol price.

According to the sources diesel, kerosene and LPG still continue to be sold by the public sector oil companies at loss.

Most of the public transport uses diesel and the increasing power shortages have increased the use of diesel everywhere especially in the field of agriculture, manufacturing and power sectors.
If the Government removes subsidy from diesel too, then it’s very obvious that the increase in transport price will increase the price of many things indirectly.

Now this is the opportune time to bite the bullet and ensure that fuel subsidies are rolled back, with the near term goal of deregulating the oil sector.

common man will become more miserable

Our Government promises to make India the most powerful country in the world and everyone will have a motorcycle, a car and will lead a good life.
But nothing seems to be true as once again a huge hike in petrol price seems that they want the common man to move on to bi-cycle.
On the other hand, dollar rate is increasing like never before.
Is this a progress of our country or a progress in fuel price and dollar rate?

Not only this, but  according to the sources, a high powered ministerial panel headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee may meet soon, to decide on revising  diesel, LPG, cooking gas and possibly also kerosene rates.

If this continues to happen in the future also, then no doubt, the common man will be forced  to compromise with their living standard.

Zukerberg turns 28

A person who is found most of the time in hoodie and sneakers, famous for his social networking website Facebook, turns 28 today.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who started facebook in early 2004, known as thefacebook.com back in those days was designed to help Harvard’s student to communicate to each other online and later for any other college students to connect one another online.

The scrappy website then grew to include every one with internet connection, and now over 900 million facebook users log in at least once in a month making facebook the world’s most definitive social networking website.

Zukerberg has consistently shown maturity since 2004, and kept introducing the latest apps and user friendly environment in facebook for his users and  that too for free..
This made a rapid growth of a website and therefore caught the eye of big media and rival companies like google and yahoo.

Well, we all wish Zukerberg a very happy and prosperous birthday and hope he will keep introducing the most exciting range of apps and user friendly features on facebook for us.

Success Story

Today, I went through an article where once again a girl outshined boys in UPSC exam.
Rukmani Nayar- 26 year old, born in Chandigarh, who failed in her 6th standard when she was sent out to a boarding school in Dalhousie, got AIR 2nd in UPSC exam 2011 in her first attempt.

Nair, sharing her success told that she believes in self study. She never went for any coaching classes ever in her life.
As she was not a very bright student, she managed her time in a smarter way and worked hard to achieve success.

She holds a master's degree in social entrepreneurship from the Tata Institute of Social Science Mumbai where she consistently topped her class.

She wanted to serve the nation and use her  experience and training to serve the nation in a better way and therefore, started preparing for UPSC in august 2010 as the exams was scheduled in June 2011.

Nayar’s success once again  proved that failures are the stepping stones to success.
Cracking any exam doesn’t require a regular coaching classes. Determination and consistency along with a good guidance will definitely get you through the exams.
