Relief news from Petroleum minister jaipal reddy’s end that
he is not touching the prices of LPG, kerosene or diesel.
After the hike in petrol price, we saw the protest across
the country to roll back the tremendous increase in petrol price, but it has
perhaps now become impossible for the government to give subsidy on the petrol
price.

Most of the public transport uses diesel and the increasing
power shortages have increased the use of diesel everywhere especially in the
field of agriculture, manufacturing and power sectors.
If the Government removes subsidy from diesel too, then it’s
very obvious that the increase in transport price will increase the price of
many things indirectly.
Now this is the opportune time to bite the bullet and ensure
that fuel subsidies are rolled back, with the near term goal of deregulating
the oil sector.
good :)
