Today, I went through an article where once again a girl
outshined boys in UPSC exam.
Rukmani Nayar- 26 year old, born in Chandigarh, who failed
in her 6th standard when she was sent out to a boarding school in
Dalhousie, got AIR 2nd in UPSC exam 2011 in her first attempt.
Nair, sharing her success told that she believes in self
study. She never went for any coaching classes ever in her life.
As she was not a very bright student, she managed her time
in a smarter way and worked hard to achieve success.
She holds
a master's degree in social entrepreneurship from the Tata Institute of Social
Science Mumbai where she consistently topped her class.
She wanted to serve the nation and use
her experience and training to serve the nation in
a better way and therefore, started preparing for UPSC in august 2010 as
the exams was scheduled in June 2011.
Nayar’s success once again
proved that failures are the
stepping stones to success.
Cracking any exam
doesn’t require a regular coaching classes. Determination and consistency along
with a good guidance will definitely get you through the exams.
